Jennifer Lawrence In Talks To Star After Lionsgate Buys Rights To Jeannette Walls Memoir

This is a real departure for Lionsgate which has always specialized in testosterone movies. But chalk it up to the success of female powered The Hunger Games and the stardom of Jennifer Lawrence. As well as the sensibility of Summit’s Eric Feig who shephered the Twilight Saga films and is now production head for Lionsgate as well. He’s just acquired the rights to The Glass Castle: A Memoir by gossip columnist Jeanette Walls. Lionsgate made the deal with Gil Netter (The Blind Side, Life Of Pi) who will produce. Marti Noxon is attached to write the screenplay.

THE HUNGER GAMES RETURNS TO SELECT IMAX® THEATRES FOR A ONE WEEK ENGAGEMENT

IMAX Corporation (NYSE:IMAX; TSX:IMX) and Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF) today announced that due to overwhelming demand, The Hunger Games will return to more than 100 IMAX® digital theatres across North America on April 27. The film will play for a one-week special return engagement through May 3.

The Hunger Games has grossed over $533 million globally since its launch on March 23, including $13.2 million generated from IMAX theatres in its original one week run.
